Simple ways to optimize your content for search

There are lots of discussions about website content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) these days. Even so, all those debates always agree on one thing: it can be extremely hard for your website to appear among the pages of postings on a specific subject without including deliberately worded content that can please both users and Search Engines. Below are a few simple guidelines with which you can upgrade your content for Search purposes.

Think Like a Searcher with Keywords

It serves no purpose to optimize a keyword that no one is looking for. You have to put yourself in users’ shoes to choose the appropriate keywords that are relevant to your business, yet still fit that searching trend for that particular product or service. Because when a searcher searches for that keyword on Search Engines, it is of high possibility that they are really in need of that specific
product or service, which make them your possible customers. So make it easy for them to search for it.

Focus on Long Tail Keyword

Long tail keywords are normally also comprised of extra descriptive words and more connected to a phrase. For example, someone who is in need of SEO services in Singapore is more likely to enter the long tail keywords such as: “SEO Company Services in Singapore” than just “SEO Services”. It is a well-known fact in the SEO field that it is easier to optimize for long tail keywords than short ones. However, you should use them both simultaneously to achieve the maximum desired ranking results.

Make Content Flow Naturally by Stop Words

Many websites owners stumble on the mistake of making the content sound unnatural by incorporate keywords into the content carelessly. These mistakes much likely to annoy customers, degrade the users’ experience, and affect your brand image badly. Therefore, try putting “Stop words” into your keyword in the content as it does not affect the way Search Engines see the content, but has huge positive effect on users’ evaluation about your website. For example, try to say “SEO Company in Singapore” rather than “SEO Company Singapore” for better results.

Use Keyword to Enrich Headings

Search Engines clearly favor original and informative content. This includes scanning designated heading tags for keywords. Try to incorporate optimized keyword into the heading tags (H1, H2, H3) in your content.

Keywords Stuffing Bring No Good

The advice you may hear a lot when it comes to keyword and content is that: Do not overuse the keywords in your content. Generally, one keyword use per 100 words is sufficient enough to be found but not enough to cause the Search Engines to classify your content as spam.
